AMERICAN BANDSTAND
There is a group of jolly noisemakers on the air most every night
They dance and swing their partners from the left and to the right
They scream and yell and frisk about, oh what a motley crew
You'd think for sure the roof would cave as you sit within their veiw
It's a summer evening when everything is still
Mister Frog begins his drill
The cricket is one exception
He too knows how to play
They crawl and chirp real harmony all the way
Good harmony all the way.
They gather around and frisk all about
Oh what a grand reunion!
It's like listening to the American Bandstand
you hear on the air most every evening.
(solo)
They gather around and frisk all about
Oh what a grand reunion
It's like listening to the American Bandstand
you hear on the air most every evening.
- Arthur E. Harrison
